Let me introduce myself… It’s always a bit more personal when you can put a face to a name don’t you think….?
I’m Jenni, owner and founder of Hired Style. My mission is to help you DIY fabulous parties and events for your friends, family or clients and get that same exciting buzz I get when you create something special.
Whether you simply want to DIY it all by hiring some beautiful pieces, or need some styling assistance to execute your vision, or just someone to come and set it all up and pack it all away, hit me up!!
I’ve always been one of those people that can’t do “let’s keep it low key” get togethers, parties or Christmas – it just has to be styled to make it that bit extra special. It’s just one of those things that gets me excited so it’s been a blessed journey to end up here as I never thought I could turn my passion into a business.
Over the years I’ve worked the best part of my career for the big red flying kangaroo, worked as a make-up artist also for nearly a decade during this time (the things you juggle before kids come along), and more recent years become a qualified Interior Decorator, worked for a building company, wedding styling assistant, and in retail styling and merchandising, phew ?
My true passion started for parties and event styling emerged when I had kids over more than a decade ago. I dabbled in cake decorating and would make these fab 3D cakes to match the kids birthday theme for that year, completely matching with their outfits and of course props, haha. I got so many comments from friends and family saying I should do this for a living. My other love of all things pretty and vintage has seen me collect some beautiful pieces such as my signature pink vintage French glassware and stunning gold teapot sets that must simply be shared!!
So… finally… I can say I’ve taken the plunge.
